The Regulars
Lebanon's first branded stand-up night. Knockout ran The Regulars at Forty Licks Tavern in Beirut every other Wednesday across two seasons in 2018, with a second venue at Retro Active Music Bar. The posters and rooms below are the record. One of the nights, Stand Up for a Cause, ran as a fundraiser, with the door going to charity.

The Base
Ramzi Hobeishy
Ramzi co-founded Knockout in 2017 to build the stage Lebanese stand-up did not have. At the time the country had no agency, no recurring platform and no pipeline for talent. He produced The Regulars, and sometimes hosted or performed himself.
Credit belongs to the comedians. In a scene that barely paid, many showed up anyway, and often hosted, opened or performed for free when the budget was not there. That is the clearest sign the project was worth their time.
